Aadland, Eivind (conductor, violin)
Eivind Aadland is one of Norway's leading conductors. He conducts all the Norwegian symphony orchestras regularly, and his engagements include concerts throughout Scandinavia.
As a violinist Aadland has appeared as a soloist throughout Europe, and he has played chamber music with Igor Oistrakh and Yehudi Menuhin.
Eivind Aadland has been Concert Master of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, and from 1987 to -97 he was Music Director of the European Union Chamber Orchestra. With this orchestra he has appeared in major concert halls and international festivals world-wide. Aadland has recorded more than 20 CDs as conductor and soloist.
